I'M KATIE
Adventurous elopement & intimate wedding photographer based in Warsaw, Indiana. I want to meet your dog and plan your wedding timeline over drinks or coffee. I am a calming presence more than a demanding authority. I don’t take commitments lightly — if you book your day with me, you’ll get my all.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be an illustrator, to help bring stories to life.
That dream was left behind somewhere, and I eventually attended school for Landscape Architecture, which is heavily focused on design and storytelling — and creating illustrations.
I graduated from Ball State University with a Master of Landscape Architecture, and moved my little family across the country to Arizona. I practiced there for a year before my husband was deployed.
It was then that I decided to explore another storytelling career that would allow me to build my own business and dreams,
and spend more time with my daughter. So here I am, back in northern Indiana, bringing your stories to life through photography.

MY WHY?
With a background in Landscape Architecture, I am passionate about connecting people and places.
I believe we need to focus on fostering our relationships now more than ever, as we live in a world of increasing social disconnect.
I believe spending time experiencing + exploring nature also plays a major role in our happiness and our desire to be stewards of the environment.
These two elements come together in adventurous, natural light photography by encouraging people to connect on an emotional level while also connecting with their natural environments.
